Is there quoting software without a subscription?
Yes, but not much. Most vendors charge monthly and effectively all of them require an account. Quofo is a one-time purchase: you pay once, download the files, and use them in the AI you already have. No account, no renewal, no cancellation to remember.

Where the break-even sits
Arithmetic is more honest here than argument.
- Against $29.99 a month: you pass the price of the Starter Kit before the end of month one. Over a year that is $359.88 against $19 once.
- Against Jobber Core at $49 a month: $588 over a year, or $348 if you prepay annually.
- Against Handoff Flex at $149 a month: $1,788 a year — roughly four and a half times the price of our most expensive package, every year.
That sum is not the whole story, because you are not buying the same thing. A subscription tool gives you an environment: storage, versioning, often invoicing, scheduling and payments. Quofo gives you files — prompts, a template, follow-up messages and a margin calculator — that you run inside ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It runs on something you already pay for, which is exactly why it does not need a monthly fee of its own.
When a subscription genuinely is the better choice
There are situations where you should leave our one-time purchase alone:
- You run a crew. Several people who need to see and edit the same quotes — that is what tools with accounts and permissions are built for.
- You want scheduling, invoicing and payments in one place. Quofo does not do that and is not going to.
- You want to see when the customer opens your quote. That needs a sending platform, not a prompt pack.
