FOR ANY BUSINESS THAT QUOTES BEFORE IT WORKS

Send the quote before you leave the job

Take one photo of the job. Quofo writes the full quote in about five minutes. Then it chases the customer on day 3, day 7 and day 14 — without you.

One-time payment, no subscription. 30-day money-back guarantee. Built by someone who runs a roof coating business and has built websites for six years, and who uses this every week on his own quotes.

SOUND FAMILIAR

The quote is not the hard part. Getting it out the same day is.

It is 9pm

You are on the couch with the laptop, typing a quote for a job you looked at this morning. The day is over. The work is not.

Three quotes are out there

You do not know which one to chase. So you chase none of them, and you find out weeks later that two went cold.

You lost a job last month

Not on price. The other guy answered first. That is the whole reason, and you know it.

That is not a discipline problem. It is an admin problem. Admin can be handed to a system.

WHO MADE THIS

I built this for myself first

I run a roof coating company in the Netherlands. I have also run a web design company for six years. That combination is the only reason this exists: I know exactly which part of quoting eats your evenings, because it ate mine, and I can build the fix myself.

Two years ago I looked at a flat roof on a Tuesday morning. Good job, fair size, the customer wanted it done before winter. I said I would send the quote that evening. I sent it on Friday. By then he had already signed with someone else. Not because that guy was cheaper. Because that guy answered.

That happened more than once. I tried quoting software. It wanted me to fill in a database of line items before it did anything useful. I tried Word templates. They still needed me at a desk at ten at night. I tried letting it slide, and lost work.

Then I took a photo of a roof and asked an AI chat to write the quote I would have written by hand. The first fifty tries sounded like a robot in a suit. It took me months of rewriting to get wording a customer actually reads, with the exclusions that keep you out of trouble.

The part that changed my week was not the writing. It was the follow-up. Day 3, day 7, day 14, going out whether or not I remembered. That is where the jobs were hiding the whole time.

Other contractors saw it and asked for it. Copying the files costs me nothing, so I packaged it up. It is brand new, so you would be one of the first. That is exactly why it is $19 and not $500.

Straight facts

  • Own roof coating business, Netherlands
  • Six years running a web design company
  • Built for my own quotes first, then packaged
  • Used every week on real jobs
  • Launched in August 2026, after two years of use

THE MECHANISM

The 5-Minute Quote Protocol

Three parts. That is the whole system. There is no app to install and no account to migrate.

01 A prompt that knows how a quote is built

Not “write me a quote”. It asks for scope, materials, access, waste and the exclusions that stop arguments later. You still set every price.

02 A template that looks like yours

The output drops into a clean quote document with your name on it. Not a wall of AI text a customer has to decode.

03 A follow-up rail that runs itself

Day 3, day 7, day 14. Short messages, written to be answered. It stops the moment the customer replies.

THE ACTUAL PROMPT

This is literally what you are buying

No screenshots of a dashboard that does not exist. This is the file. You paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, add your photo, and this is the shape of what comes back.

PHOTO TO QUOTE · PROMPT 1 OF 2 IN THE STARTER KIT
You are an experienced quote writer for contractors and service
businesses. I am going to give you one or more job photos plus a short
description of the work. Turn that into a complete, professional quote
in plain English, using exactly this structure:

1. A short personal opening with [CUSTOMER NAME] and [JOB ADDRESS]
2. What you found on site, based on the photos and my description.
Only describe what you can actually see. Do not invent anything.
3. Scope of work, step by step, in the order it will happen
4. Materials and method. If you do not know the exact product,
   use [MATERIAL] as a placeholder.
5. Price: always use [PRICE] as a placeholder. Never do the math
yourself and never suggest an amount.
6. Schedule, warranty, and how long the quote is good for

Tone: skilled and trustworthy. Short sentences. No hype, no sales talk,
no exclamation marks. Write the way an experienced tradesperson talks
to a homeowner.

If something in the photo is unclear, put [CHECK: topic] in the text
instead of guessing.
Real excerpt. The full prompt runs about 900 words and ends with a line where you describe the job.
WHAT COMES BACK, 4 MINUTES LATER

Flat roof coating and moss removal

Dear [CUSTOMER NAME], thank you for having me out at [JOB ADDRESS] on [SITE VISIT DATE].

What I found
The roof is roughly 900 sq ft of bitumen. There is moss across the north half and standing water near the outlet. Two seams have lifted. [CHECK: age of the current coating]

Scope of work
1. Remove all moss and clean the surface down to sound material. 2. Repair the two lifted seams. 3. Apply primer. 4. Apply two coats of [MATERIAL], wet on dry.

Price
[PRICE], including materials, labor and removal of waste.

Every amount stays a placeholder until you fill it in. That is deliberate.

Here is what it looks like

This is what comes out, four minutes after the photo

Four trades, four real jobs. On the left the photos and the one line the tradesman types, on the right the quote that comes back. Every amount stays blank, because you set your own prices: wherever money belongs it says [PRICE].

Step 1 · the photos

What is in the photos

  • Wide shot of the flat roof over the back addition: bitumen covering, weathered across the whole field, two dark patches where water stands.
  • Left roof edge: aluminum edge trim, two sections lifted off the substrate, the sealant joint between the lengths is open.
  • Lap in the middle of the field: blistering over roughly three feet, with an earlier patch in flashing tape letting go at the edges.
  • Corner of the roof: rainwater outlet fouled with leaves and moss, no overflow visible. Vent penetration with a hairline crack in the boot.
Step 2 · the line he types
Flat roof over the back addition, bitumen, about 520 sq ft. Edge detail 85 linear ft all round. Two penetrations and one skylight. Customer wants a coating, not a new membrane. Ladder fits down the side path, no scaffold. I give a 10 year warranty on the system. Write me a quote for this.
That is all it takes ↓ this comes back

What I can see in the photos
  • Bitumen covering, weathered and dried out across the whole field.
  • Two areas of ponding water, with moss and surface deposit along the edge and around the outlet.
  • The lap in the middle is blistered over roughly three feet; the old flashing tape patch is letting go.
  • Edge trim on the left: two sections loose, sealant joint open. Vent penetration cracked at the boot.
  • Access down the side path along the gable; a ladder can stand, no room for plant on the property.
What I cannot see
  • [CHECK: build-up of the roof and the condition of the deck and the insulation] Decides whether coating is enough or whether repair comes first.
  • [CHECK: moisture in the insulation under the ponding areas] Wet insulation does not dry out under a closed coating.
  • [CHECK: falls, and the height of the edge detail against the roof field] Decides whether the ponding stays and whether an overflow is needed.
  • [CHECK: adhesion of the existing covering, with a test patch on site] Decides whether primer is enough or whether cleaning and degreasing come first.
Scope of work

I set the site up first, clean the whole roof field, take off moss, deposit and loose material and let the roof dry. Then the repair: the blistered lap cut open, pressed back and dressed, the loose edge trim refixed, the open sealant joint renewed and a new boot detail at the penetration. After that I prime the whole field.

The top coat goes on in two passes, with reinforcement fleece at the laps, along the edge trim and around the penetrations and the skylight. The work needs a dry roof and a workable surface temperature. [CHECK: application data for the chosen system] At handover we walk the roof together and you get photos of every repaired point.

Materials
  • [MATERIAL: liquid applied, fiber reinforced roof coating for a weathered bitumen substrate, to be confirmed]
  • [MATERIAL: primer matched to the chosen coating, to be confirmed]
  • Reinforcement fleece, repair compound, boot and base flashing
  • Sealant and fixings for the edge trim

You choose the brand. Coating material is figured in gallons, [QTY] gallons at the coverage rate of the chosen system. The number of passes and the system together set the warranty term.

Step 3 · the follow-up is ready to go

Three of the six messages in the trade edition, for day 3, day 7 and day 14 after you send, in the language of this trade. The text version is below; every message also has an email version in the trade edition.

Day 3 · 08/14/2026

Arrived and read

Subject: Quote Q-2026-0148 - did it arrive
Hi [CUSTOMER NAME], I sent you the quote for the flat roof at the back on Tuesday. Just checking it arrived and that everything reads clearly. If anything is unclear, I will adjust it.
Day 7 · 08/18/2026

A slot in the schedule

Subject: Quote Q-2026-0148 - scheduling
Hi [CUSTOMER NAME], I still have dry-weather days open in September. Want me to hold that slot for you until 09/01/2026, or should I release it?
Day 14 · 08/25/2026

The last message

Subject: Quote Q-2026-0148 - leaving it here
Hi [CUSTOMER NAME], I will leave it here. The quote stays valid until 09/10/2026. Shall we look at it again after the winter?

Why there is no amount anywhere. An AI does not know your buying price, your hours or your margin. Every figure a model invents is a guess you pay for. Quofo gives you the structure, the trade language and the completeness. You enter the amounts.

THE PLAN

Four steps, and you only do two of them

01 Snap or speak

One photo of the job. Or a 20-second voice note while you pack up. That is the input.

02 Check the numbers

The draft comes back with scope, materials and exclusions filled in and every amount left blank for you.

03 Send it

Paste into the template, add your prices, send. Before you have even packed up.

04 It follows up

Day 3, day 7, day 14. Automatically, or from a sheet if you would rather keep it manual.

DAY 3

Hi [name], just checking that the quote from [date] came through okay. If you have any questions, call or text me and I will walk you through it.

DAY 7

Quick note: the quote for the [job] is still open. If timing or budget is the sticking point, I am happy to look at options with you.

DAY 14

I do not want to keep bothering you, so this is my last note. If you want to pick it back up later this year, just say the word.

Three of the twelve messages in the swipe file. The sequence stops the moment the customer replies.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The five things people ask before they buy

“Is this not just ChatGPT? I could do that myself.”

Yes, it runs on an AI chat you already have. So does every recipe run on an oven. What you are buying is the wording that took me months to stop sounding like a robot, the line items and exclusions that belong in a real quote, and a follow-up sequence that fires without me. You could build it yourself. It cost me a lot of evenings. This costs $19.

“AI writes generic garbage.”

Out of the box, it does. That is a fair objection. This prompt asks you for the details it needs instead of inventing them, and it is written to sound like a person who has done the work. It is closest to right for roofing and coating, because that is where it grew up. For any other line of work you adjust the wording once and then it is yours.

“Every job is different. My quotes are custom.”

They are. Quofo does not price the job and it never will. It does the 80 percent that is the same every time: the intro, the scope wording, the exclusions, the terms, the follow-up. You set every number.

“I am not technical.”

You need an AI chat and a spreadsheet. That is the whole stack. If you can send a photo in WhatsApp you can run the prompts. The automation is the only fiddly part, and you can skip it and use the sheet instead.

“Another thing to set up and then never use.”

Fair. So start with the prompts. Fifteen minutes, no account, no install, and you can quote your next job with it. If you never touch the rest, the prompts alone are worth the nineteen dollars.

Twelve trade editions, plus your own

Twelve trades are ready to go, each with its own photo prompt, exclusions list, quote template and follow-up messages. If your trade is not on the list, you build it yourself with the generator: you fill in your trade, your units and the three jobs you do most often, and the whole set is rewritten for you. Two to five minutes.

  • Roofing and coating
  • Painting
  • Landscaping
  • Plumbing and HVAC
  • Commercial cleaning
  • Plastering and drywall
  • Masonry and repointing
  • Electrician
  • Plumbing and heating
  • Moving company
  • Photographer
  • Carpentry and interior fit-out

All twelve trade editions and the generator are included with the Starter Kit, with Complete and with Pro.

Included in Complete and Pro

The First-Hour Module

Respond within the hour to an inquiry that just came in, instead of waiting until the quote is finished.

  • A prompt for an acknowledgment with a first price direction and a proposed appointment
  • Nine short replies, each in a text-message version and an email version
  • An n8n workflow that reacts to the inquiry, not to the quote you already sent
  • A written guide

In March 2011, Harvard Business Review published research by Oldroyd, McElheran and Elkington covering 2,241 U.S. companies: responding within an hour made a company nearly seven times more likely to qualify a lead. Drift’s Lead Response Report, covering 433 companies, found that only 7 percent replied within five minutes.

With every trade

The trade card

Two pages per trade, so you know what to look for before you fill in the price.

  • The units you price in for that trade
  • The three things that cause the most disagreement
  • The pitfalls that come up most often in that trade

The trade card is included with each of the twelve trade editions and also comes out of the generator.

BEFORE YOU BUY

What Quofo is not

Not a CRM

It does not store your customers or run your pipeline. If you already have one, this sits next to it.

Not an app

Nothing to install and nothing to log into. It is files and a workflow.

It will never tell you what to charge. Here is why we built it that way. You know your margins. It writes everything around the number.

QUESTIONS

Answers before you ask

ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. The free plan of any of them is enough to run the prompts. You do not need a paid AI subscription for this to work.

Plain text for the prompts, .docx for the quote template, .xlsx for the calculator and dashboard, PDF for the guides, and a .json workflow file for the automation. Everything opens in Office or in Google Docs and Sheets.

If your work starts with a quote, it fits. Roofing, painting, drywall, siding, decks and landscaping, but just as much installers, cleaning companies, movers, event and catering businesses, photographers, studios and freelancers. It is tuned closest for roofing and coating, because that is where it was built. Every other line of work needs one edit to the wording, and the guide walks you through it.

Yes. When I improve the prompts you get the new version by email, at no extra cost, for as long as the product exists.

The license covers one business. Do not resell the files or pass them around. If you run several companies yourself, email me and we will work it out.

Email me inside 30 days and say you want a refund. You do not have to explain why. Because it is a download you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate access, which waives the statutory 14-day EU withdrawal right. My own 30-day guarantee replaces it and is longer.

The next job you look at, you could quote before you drive away
